Ok ok, maybe I was just being a suck, but shitty weather on my birthday last Wednesday, and the forecast of heavy rain for Spring Fling was not sitting all that well. Thanks a million baby for always finding some way of making things right, making things as perfect as they can be. It's now two in a row that we had to move location with such last minute notice!! Thanks guys for always being so flexible...I’m crossing my fingers; this summer we should have a few that'll run smoother…hopefully. In any case it was quite a success and I couldn't have done it without Mark and his wonderful parents, who cleaned all day, and for having us on such short notice. Like Ivan said, it’s been a long while since we've chilled like that. Cranium, Poker, endless laughs, shits & giggles…

Spring Flingamajig

I'm so exhausted.
My mind is trying not to admit it but my body is caving in, especially my right eye. It's been twitchin for three weeks now. My uncle says its due to lack of sleep, he's probably right even if I don't want to admit it.

My room is a mess.
I spent the morning of my 23rd birthday scrubing and mopping the bathroom and kitchen. No Ray, I am not domesticated!! *rolling eyes. Needless to say, I was feeling the gloomy weather on my birthday so it was rather tame. Con sent me a poem from Montreal attached with some unexpected suprises so I was content. (Duh. I'm so oblivious :P) And I got to spend the day chillin' with my baby. (I can't believe you made me wait!) Dinner was yummy and going out to the park to toss was nice, even with the wind and coldness. My birthdays have traditionally landed on crappy weather so I basically felt it in my bones that it was going to either rain or be windy & cold like a bitch, lucky me I got both this year. I guess it was an alright day, it could've been worst. I'm crossing my fingers Saturday's going to be nice, i'll even take overcast if i have to. *sigh...I still have to clear out the bunnies in my room and in the living room. I shouldn't really call them bunnies. They're more like vicious twelve foot rabbits with fangs. Yes. The dust is that bad.

I'm going to crawl to a corner and cry. *AH-CHOO

Truly Wicked

Could I have possibly pulled a Ray? Despite the four hours of sleep last night, with the immediate waking to a straight six hours of writing the last five pages of my last minute paper that I had oh say, three weeks to prepare for, I must say a grande-caramel afgado-no whip-java chip frappucino blended coffee, although made wrong and given to me with the call off of "grande afgado watever" with a side of attitude is sitting pretty well. *Breathe. I hate the Starbucks at Bathurst and Wilson, I digress.

I guess the five straight days of sunshine and last nights unbelievably awesome performance @ the Canon Theater has not yet worn off, or it could quite possibly be the caffeine talking. Nonetheless, I am free. From school. For the next two weeks. But...not really free from doing the rest of the things that are lined up to be done. Dang. For now I'll naively bask in the illusion that for the next little while I can relatively roam around town with little stress. *knock on wood.



So YEAH...WICKED WAS AWESOME!!! I mean I guess I could be biased since I'm in love with extravagant theater productions and can get pretty giddy when set designs and costume designs are ridiculously gorgeous. That and the fact that the last time I went to the theater was in grade 10 to see Rent. Nonetheless, the storyline was wonderfully refreshing. Not only did they fill in the gaps that the original Wizard of Oz had left unanswered, but it also brought up numerous social issues that are amongst our world today.

Of all the good and wonderful things of Wicked, what I enjoyed most was the revitalizing feeling of being able to see genuine talent and actual singing. To say the least, I’m sure most of us have been mentally drained from hearing shit; which would be an understatement, from the likes of Ashlee Simpson, Lindsay Lohan & Co. Sadly it was rather disappointing to over hear one of the tweens talk about how they can see Wicked as a Disney production. *Siiighhh. Too bad the shows decided to head down to Chicago rather then stay here in Toronto. It would be wonderful to see it again.

What can I say? I left the theater beaming. So what if my feet were in pain from the damn stilettos, bottom line it was good, sooo damn good. Thanks baby for a wonderful evening, and it was totally worth me procrastating and getting all excited for. More so thanks for being so patient with me when I was completely whining, bitching, and ultimately stressing about my essay. C is for connotation, D is for denotation...stupid big words.

Spring Showers Bringing Sunshine & Rainbows

It's true that nothing worth doing is ever easy. I'm just glad I'm still naive enough to still be motivated in doing what I do. Nonetheless I can’t complain. I am at this moment wonderfully grateful to be at the place I am right now.

School is out in a week and ALREADY my summer is relatively booked up. Between school, work, internships, family, my partner in crime, friends, ultimate, etcetera, etcetera…the summer’s just going to zip by…
