Meditations on Being Hockey Deprived

The year had a hockey season.
IT DIED! IT DIED!
The NHL and NHLPA said they'd try.
THEY LIED! THEY LIED!
Why oh why is the hockey season dead?
Couldn't people not be greedy instead?
